We are delighted to announce a momentous achievement for TITAN Containers: the implementation of a solar panel system at our Self Storage and container depot in Kolding, Denmark. This innovative facility sets a new benchmark for sustainability and demonstrates our commitment to providing contemporary solutions to our customers. The Birth of a Vision

The seed for this revolutionary undertaking was planted back in late 2021. Our ambition was clear: to create the first 100% solar-powered Self Storage and container depot in Denmark. With meticulous planning and unwavering determination, we turned this vision into a reality.

In September 2022, we acquired the keys to our new depot. It's worth mentioning that the pictures might deceive you, as the facility appeared quite dilapidated at first glance. With our expertise and passion, we transformed it into a remarkable space that combines utility with sustainability.

Impressive Figures and Features

• Total area: 17,000 square meters.
• The indoor hall spans an impressive 1,800 square meters, with 57 rooms already installed and space for an additional 60 rooms in the pipeline.
• The outdoor Self Storage area covers a vast 4,500 square meters, providing ample space for our customers' storage needs.
• Inside the depot, we have set aside a 260-square-meter workshop for container repairs and other essential services.

Harnessing the Power of the Sun

A significant highlight of our depot is the integration of an 85kWh solar power system. By replacing the old roof, we created a platform capable of generating clean, renewable energy to power the indoor hall. Expanding our commitment to sustainability, we've added a 10kWh battery to ensure a continuous energy supply for CCTV, lighting, and other vital functions during nighttime hours. This innovation not only decreases our carbon footprint but also reduces energy costs, benefitting our customers and the environment simultaneously.

Electric Fleet

Our electric fleet is a testimony to our commitment to sustainable practices. Our lineup includes the Electric Volvo FH4x2 side loader with an impressive battery capacity of 540kWh, alongside the Mercedes e-Vito, Toyota Proace, HELI CPD35 100% electric forklift, and Carer A120X 100% electric forklift.

Outdoor Self Storage Containers

Our drive-to outdoor Self Storage area boasts 24/7 gate access, making it convenient for customers to drop off or collect their items at any time that suits them.

OFFICE AREA

Within the office area, we have devised an interactive green wall to showcase our solar production in real-time. This wall gives us an opportunity to engage with our customers, sharing our vision and mission of sustainable logistics.

24/7 Indoor Self Storage Access

With rooms ranging from 10m2 to 16m2 and a height of 3 meters. We ensure that your valuable goods are secure and easily accessible whenever you need them.

Optimizing Energy Consumption with Adaptive Lighting

To further enhance our environmental efforts, we have sleekly incorporated adaptive lighting technology throughout the office space. Equipped with advanced sensors, these intelligent lighting systems dynamically adjust the artificial light output based on the available natural light. As the daylight diminishes, the sensors gradually increase the brightness to ensure a well-lit environment that supports productivity and comfort. Conversely, when the natural light intensifies, the sensors dim the artificial lighting, conserving energy while maintaining adequate illumination. The hall has been thoughtfully divided into six zones, each equipped with motion sensor-controlled lamps. This dynamic setup allows our customers to navigate through the Self Storage effortlessly, without the need to manually switch the lights on or off.
